Betabyte ("we," "us," or "our") operates the AnyWidget mobile application. This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal data when you use our Service and the choices you have associated with that data.
1. Information Collection and Use
AnyWidget is designed to provide home screen customization by displaying user-selected web content.
- User-Provided URLs: We do not collect, store, or monitor the URLs you enter. These are stored locally on your device to facilitate the widget refresh process.
- No Personal Data Collection: We do not require account registration. We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, or precise location data.
- No Browsing History: AnyWidget does not track or store your overall browsing history. It only accesses the specific URLs you provide for widget creation.
2. Web Content & Third Parties
AnyWidget functions as a limited web-viewing tool. When the app fetches data from a third-party website to update a widget:
- Direct Interaction: Your device connects directly to that third-party website.
- Third-Party Policies: Those websites may collect data (such as your IP address or cookies) as if you were visiting them in a standard web browser. We have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party sites.
3. Data Safety & Security
- Encryption: All data fetched by the app is transmitted via HTTPS to ensure it is encrypted in transit.
- Local Storage: Your widget configurations and selected web clips are stored locally on your device and are not uploaded to our servers.
4. Permissions
AnyWidget may request the following permissions:
- Internet Access: Required to fetch the web content for your widgets.
- Background Refresh: Required to keep your widgets up to date without opening the app.
5. Children's Privacy
Our Service does not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal data, please contact us.
